Statistical consulting is free to all members of the UMD research community (undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff), in all departments and disciplines. Research is increasingly data-driven, and we are available to answer your statistics and analysis questions through email or an in-person consultation. We currently specialize in SAS, SPSS, R, and can also provide support on Survey Design and Analysis.

Need to conduct a survey for your research project? Develop your surveys online and distribute them by email or web link. Surveys can be anonymous or linked to an individual or tracking number. You must have UMD credentials to create and distribute, but surveys can be completed by anyone with internet access.

Researchers can use OACS as a resource in determing technology needs for a proposal, including physical tech needs, and use of the BSWIFT high-performance computing cluster.

REDCap is a secure web application for building, managing, and deploying online surveys and databases. REDCap supports offline data collection and synchronization with the REDCap Mobile App, longitudinal and multi-arm studies, secure data storage, project level logging, and customizable user roles and data access groups.
